Old School Gaming

Depending on your age, you might remember the Oregon Trail game. Basically you had to make it across the country during the Oregon Trail days without dying. You had to choose which supplies you would purchase with your meager means, as well as hunt and trade. along the way you had the option to learn about some historical facts (as a kid - I never bothered with any of that, but it's what allowed us to play it at school). Anyway, you can play it for old times sake here (it works best in IE).


What got me thinking about that is this game Castaway. It's just like the TV show "Lost" only not at all. You're a castaway and have to make decisions on how to survive a deserted island. It's similar to a "choose your own adventure" book (remember those?). Because it's a text based game, it got me thinking about the good old days. Play it here.
